Writing Spirit, The School
It is such an honor to share with you our very first Writing Spirit – The School Event! For three days at the end of our year, we drank in the beauty of the desert, wrote until our fingers were numb, listened to each writer’s voice sing out her poetry, and then we wrote some more. There were laughter and tears, praise, critiques and hugs. Throughout the entire event – ever present around us all – there was Spirit!
On the last night, we drummed down the sun and the next morning, I sent these wonderful women back into the world to inhale deeply, put pen to paper and gift the world with their writing spirit. The efforts of all inspired us and it is with great pleasure that I announce that we have opened registration for the next class, the 2012 session of Writing Spirit – The School.

It is truly a privilege to invite you to join me in an exciting adventure of inspiration and creativity – Writing Spirit, The School.
My writing school is direct and abstract, elaborate and simple.It is designed to be open and morph and work like a guidebook of trails through the rugged mountains of your inspiration. It is an amoeba pulsating and changing with each new chapter written on your journey.
We all want to take writing courses and become best-selling authors.This could happen, but it is not by accident.This program will help to unite you with something deep within you that is far more passionate and important than a best-seller.You will merge with the art, the mysterious living art with YOU: your Writing Spirit.This is where greatness begins!
The language in the exercises is intended to shake you up and shift your attention, to take you out of your comfort zone and catapult you into the magic that IS your Writing Spirit.
The program is about the energy of Art! Follow this energy.We will take up clean slates with ample chalks, and step-by-step, taking good notes, we’ll trek along the banks of the river of writing imagination, running clear and gemmy, free of the mud of ego writing. It will lead us straight to the magnificent storytelling wheel, powerful and mysterious. We will circle this mighty wheel together, learning of our hidden luster and our writing spirits with each turn….
You will certainly feel shifted after this program, as I have great plans for everyone stepping into this arena of intent. Experience the mystery of shamanism as you travel out of the old shadows into the special light of your writing spirit.

A Student’s Journey
I sought direction,
And the Sacred Wheel became my compass,
I built a Bridge,
And discovered a world of possibilities,
In the dark of the West,
I found light.
In the Hall of Mirrors,
I found laughter.
In the Teachings of the Wind,
I found change.
In the Strength of My Teacher,
I found empowerment.
When my work was less than perfect,
I found acceptance.
On a journey to the desert,
I found new friends,
And in the flash of a Lightening Bolt,
I found my Writing Spirit!
