Message from Lynn About the Retreat

The beauty of the season of autumn deepens, the air quickens, and my end-of-year retreat for rest, rejuvenation and renewal on the Big Island of Hawaii approaches. The dolphins are running and I can’t wait to see you there!

This year more than ever, with the enormous stress on our lives, it is critical to take the time to rejuvenate your spirit. We go to the chiropractor to adjust our bodies to the toll that stress takes; we soothe our tired muscles and aching joints with massage and the magical aromas of deep-penetrating oils. But how often do any of us ever really take the time to renew our spirit, even though we know that if our spirits are as weary as our bodies, whatever physical relief we get is only going to be temporary?

That is why this year in Hawaii, we are going to focus on soul retrieval as we swim with the giant sea turtles and dream with the ancient spirits of Mu.

When we go through the emotional upheaval of severe stress or trauma, so often our spirit fragments. Little pieces of your spirit literally break off and fly away. Over time, your spirit becomes depleted, and it will stay that way until you learn how to go out and retrieve these precious fragments of your vitality and vision in life.

This year in Hawaii, I am going to teach you how to do just that, how to retrieve the fragmented pieces of your soul now and for the rest of your amazing, beautiful life! Soul retrieval is learning how to recognize the signs of fragmentation of your spirit. This is the most direct path to spiritual and personal healing and wholeness, opening yourself and welcoming the great flow of life that moves through all living beings.

It is a spiritual axiom that when we are one with the Great Spirit and all of life, all things are possible. It is in our oneness with God that true power is born. This is so because in the Great Spirit there is no separation, all things are part of the Great Spirit and the Great Spirit is part of all things. When there is no separation, there is wholeness. When there is wholeness, power is not diluted and drained away.

Can you begin to see how vitally important it is to bring all aspects of your being into spiritual wholeness, why it is so urgent that you reclaim right now those pieces of your spirit that have broken off over time? When you reclaim those pieces, you unblock yourself and become truly open to the spiritual energy that moves between all living things, to the flow of financial as well as spiritual abundance in this universe. Spirit retrieval will show you how.

I hold my retreat at the beautiful Mauna Lani Bay Hotel on the western Kohala Coast, about 35 minutes from Kona on the western side of the Big Island. The Mauna Lani is a luxurious, five-star resort, recognized all over the world for its historic preservation and stewardship of the land, and they are delighted to welcome us with special group rates.

This gorgeous resort is set in a cove which is protected by a beautiful reef, and it is home to the seven Kalahuipua'a Fishponds which were created by ancient Hawaiians dating all the way back to 250 B.C. Can you imagine how healing it will be to meditate and do your spirit retrieval at these ancient Fishponds, if you wish!

Since 1989, the Mauna Lani Resort has received juvenile honu – green sea turtles – from Oahu's Sea Life Park, raising them in the saltwater ponds of the Hotel complex until they are large enough to be released into the wild. You will be able to celebrate the rebirth of your newfound spirit with these very special turtles. All of our work at my Hawaii Retreat is set up so that you can take your time, spending as much time as possible outdoors as you relax into the setting, respectful always of the spirits of the land.

This year more than ever, I invite you to join me as we swim with the dolphins and the giant sea turtles that rub their noses on our toes while you work with the Sisterhood of the Shields and the energy of the land, the wind, the sea and all the spirits of place to experience the healing benefits of soul retrieval. It is truly a spa for the spirit, and it couldn’t come along at a better time.

If you are able to come early or stay after the retreat, the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel is pleased to extend to you the extraordinary room rate that you receive as a participant in my Retreat. That way you can take in as much of the Hawaiian Islands as your time permits, although you do need to make any extended-stay arrangements at the time that you reserve your registration with the Hotel. Then you can visit the majestic waterfalls and rain forests of the other islands, luxuriate on the green and black sands of the beaches, or visit the famous Kona coffee plantations or any of the other amazing places that are part of this magnificent island chain.

I truly, truly hope to see you, swim with you and dream with you this coming December 1-4, 2010, at my 12th Annual Retreat on the Big Island of Hawaii.

In the spirit of Aloha,

Lynn Andrews

Many have expressed interest in bringing a spouse to the event. In addition to being one of the world’s most exquisite locations, there are many, many activities at the hotel itself which your spouse can enjoy.

Activities Abound

Perfect Kohala weather provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy outdoor fun. Golf, tennis, biking, jogging, spa facilities, and water sports are just a few of the activities available at the resort. Upon check-in guests also receive a schedule of complimentary activities they are invited to join in. The varied schedule includes lei-making, watercolor painting, tropical flower arranging, hula lessons, lomi-lomi massage demonstrations, Hawaiian games, fish feeding tours and historic tours.

The historian on site shares Hawaiian history and legends with guests at the Eva Parker Woods Cottage which is home to interesting artifacts of Hawaii.

The Guest Services staff at Mauna Lani are available to coordinate other Island activities including big game fishing, horseback riding, helicopter sightseeing, and tours of the Big Island. At Mauna Lani Bay you can spend lazy days swaying in a hammock; or explore all the excitement and adventure the Mauna Lani Resort, and the Big Island of Hawaii has to offer.

Details about the Workshop

WHEN:  December 1 - 4, 2010,  Wednesday through Saturday

Plan on arriving Tuesday as we will begin our work on Wednesday morning. Also plan on staying at the hotel on the evening of December 4 and leaving December 5, since we will be working into the evening hours, and you will more than likely get a better airfare rate with a Saturday stay-over.

WHERE: The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel is on the big island of Hawaii. If you have access to the internet, you may want to look at the hotel’s web site, and prepare to be impressed. www.maunalani.com

LODGING: We have made VERY special arrangements with the hotel. Lodging cost is approximately $235.00 per day*. Tax and gratuities are extra. You will need to make your room reservations directly with the hotel. Call the hotel at 1-800-367-2323 or 1-808-885-6622 and let them know you are with the Lynn Andrews' group. (* This is approximate lodging cost - please check with the hotel for actual room rates)

If we know of someone looking to share a room, we’ll give you their name and phone number. It is then up to you to call and make arrangements with your potential roommate. We will also add your name to the list and give your name and phone number to others calling for a roommate. We are happy to provide you with this information.

Please remember, however, that any choice of roommate(s) is your responsibility. Please also remember to call when you have found a roommate and wish to be removed from the list.

PROGRAM:  Lynn feels that an essential part of renewing our spirit and rejuvenating our soul, is to spend as much time on this sacred and powerful land as possible. Therefore, a large portion of the daytime hours will be spent working out on the land. You will be given a beautifully crafted journal for this part of the work. The journal will consist of meditations, exercises, explorations, and personal ceremonies designed specifically to move you into a receptive point-of-view. These personal processes are an important aspect of the retreat and will prepare you for the in-depth work we will then do together in the evening hours. Registration cost is $600.00 (If you register before July 17, 2010, you save $100 as registration is only $500). Registration also includes a $150.00 non-refundable deposit.

Nursing and Therapist CEU's are available for this special retreat.

TRAVEL:  The closest airport is the Kona International Airport on the big island of Hawaii.  If you would like to ride a shuttle from the airport, you will need to let the hotel know a week in advance and they will take care of that for you. There is a cost for this service. The price varies depending on the number of people riding the shuttle with you and the time of day. Ask the hotel for more details.
