Integrative practitioners recognize the mind-body-spirit connection and believe that illness is directly related to attitudes, beliefs and emotions. Our modern world is full of stress, especially for those who perceive that they are living an unfulfilled life. They may be unhappy in work or relationship or feel disconnected from their family or community. Dreaming is an ancient shamanic practice of receiving inspiration from the divine. This inspiration can be manifested into one’s life, which is a positive step toward achieving balance and restoring health. In this tutorial, meditation with a conscious awareness of the divine is combined with moving this energy throughout one’s body to achieve total relaxation as a therapeutic tool for well-being.
At the end of this Master Tutorial in alternative practices, participants will be able to:
1. Discuss meditation, the seeking of divine inspiration and total relaxation of body, mind and emotion as tools for achieving emotional, spiritual and physical health.
2. Discuss at least one method of working with a client’s energy system.
3. Discuss ways of incorporating these procedures into their professional practice.
