 The Program

Lynn feels that an essential part of renewing our spirit and rejuvenating our soul, is to spend as much time on this sacred and powerful land as possible. You are encouraged to do things like meditations, exercises, explorations, and personal ceremonies designed specifically to move you into a receptive point-of-view. We suggest you bring a journal for this event, that you can continue to use after the event is over. These personal processes are an important aspect of the retreat and will prepare you for the in-depth work we will then do together in the evening hours.

Every morning of our time together, I will give you shamanic teachings, meditations and sacred tasks to help you go into, explore and touch the Shamanic wealth which already exists within you. 

In the afternoons, you will be free to explore and take counsel with the incredible spirits of this beautiful land – the ocean currents and winds; the spirit of Laguna Beach, and the voices of this extraordinary place. This is your time for personal renewal, swimming, and allowing the magic of this extraordinary place to rejuvenate your spirit. There is even time to visit surrounding areas of interest – shaman shopping perhaps?

Each evening, we will share our experience and vision as the sun sets. If you have a hand drum or even a rattle, bring it! If you don’t, come anyway and move into the thrilling, mystical power of the energy of the setting sun.

Our time together is a wonderful blending of shamanic teachings, exotic beauty, and what we learn from the spirits of place when we remove ourselves from the bustle of everyday living. Leave your worries behind and join me, on the Pacific Coast!

What to Bring

Temperatures normally ranging from 59 to 75 degrees during the day. Please have a light shawl or sweater for your shoulders. We will be working outside on the land as well. We suggest you bring the following items:

  • Power Deck Cards
  • Sacred Vision Oracle Cards
  • Tobacco and Cornmeal
  • Notebook and writing tools
  • Cushion or mat to sit and lie down on (you will be both inside and out)
  • Insect Repellent with DEET
  • Flashlight; A Compass; Water bottle 
  • Hat, small carrying pack, sunglasses and sunscreen, bathing suit
  • Clothing appropriate for the beach

Please note: If there are additional items you need to bring, we will let you know by e-mail as we get closer to the event.

What NOT to Bring

Please leave valuables at home. No pets are allowed. Please honor Lynn’s wishes not to tape record or photograph any of the sessions or ceremonies of the event. You may take personal photographs outside of the sessions, of course.

Fires are not allowed on site without a permit. Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms. Please refrain from lighting candles or incense in your room; battery powered tea lights are a nice substitute. You will have to pay for air-cleaning of the room  if you light materials in your room.

Registration Notes

  1. Register for the event as soon as possible to take advantage of the 3 pay payment program. Register HERE
  2. All hotel rooms within our room block must be booked on or before Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Any reservation requests after the Cut-Off Date will be accepted at the group room rates as long as the hotel is at 80% or less in occupancy.  Otherwise  guest will pay the prevailing rate.  (Currently the rate is $779 on Friday and $799 on Saturday.)
  3. We have a very limited number of rooms in our block so please book early.
  4. Group rate will be available three (3) days pre- and post- meeting dates, based on availability and/or until Hotel is at an overall occupancy of eighty percent (80%) or greater on any of these nights.
  5. The special hotel room rate is $365 per night plus 14.27% tax = $417.09.
  6. You may split the cost of a Double room with a roommate. There are two queen beds in each room. At check in please provide both of your credit cards and let them know you are splitting the room charges.
  7. On the registration page, If you are sharing a room with someone, please place their name in the field named “Roommate.” If you do not have a roommate, but wish to share a room, enter “please assign”. We will let you know if someone is also looking for a roommate.

  10. Sand and Surf Resort will charge one night’s room $365 plus 14.27% tax = $417.09 as a deposit.  You may cancel 30 days before arrival for a full refund.  Reservations cancelled less than 29 days from arrival and no shows will be charged for their one night stays plus tax. Early departures will not receive a refund.
  11. In order to receive the incredible room rate and other complimentary items, you must participate in the food package.  Please indicate Meat ok, Vegan, Vegetarian and allergies, i.e., Gluten Free on the registration page.
  12. Our group receives the following complimentary:  which includes: No Resort Fees ($25 savings per night), Complimentary nightly turndown service, Unlimited local, toll-free and credit card phone calls, high-speed wireless internet access (via password) in guest rooms, meeting/event rooms and public areas of Hotel, Daily Newspaper delivery upon request, Daily access to the Fitness Center. Complimentary overnight parking ($40 per day savings), Daily Valet Parking (drive in and out) $8.00 (Usually $10).
  13. Hotel Amenities include:  Down comforters, Goose down or Non- Allergenic foam Pillows, waffle weave cotton robes, Cotton robes, IPOD-ready stereos, well stocked mini bar, marble baths with steeping tubs,  OPENKEY APP accessible rooms are available with either a transfer shower or roll in shower and permanent fold down sear, shower chairs upon request as are hearing and site assistive devices.
  14. Check in/Check Out: Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and checkout time is 12:00 p.m. Guests arriving before 4:00 p.m. will be assigned rooms, as they become available.
  15. Payment Plans — Upon registering for the event you will pay a $100 deposit.  The credit card you use for this transaction will be used to create a recurring payment plan.  (Please do NOT use PAYPAL for this transaction).  We will divide the remaining balance into two equal payments using the same card you used for the $100. deposit.  Example: The Event fee and the meal package total is $742 minus the $100.00 deposit = $642. Divided by two, $321 is due on Feb 04, and $321 is due on March 04, 2022. All payments must be received in full 45 days prior to the event.  
  16. REMINDER:  Fires are not allowed on site without a permit. Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms. Please do not light candles, smudge, or use incense in any rooms, including the main meeting room. We suggest battery powered tea lights as an appropriate substitute. You will pay for air-cleaning of the room if you light any materials.
  17. Refund Policy for Event & Meal package: 30 days before the event if a cancellation is needed, you will receive a refund minus $100 from the event fee only. 
  18. There are mandatory fields on the registration page. If you select “submit” at the end of the form and nothing happens, scroll up, using the scroll bar on the right side of the page. Any mandatory field that hasn’t been filled in will be highlighted. Complete each one, and then scroll down to the bottom and select “Submit.”  
  19. 2022 Spring Gathering Event Fee = $395 for the entire event. The meal package is $347.  A $100 deposit is required when registering and is part of the Event Fee.
  20. Please observe any current guidelines for the Sand and Surf Resort.  Be prepared to wear a mask and observe social distancing of 6 ft if required. 
  21. Room deliveries $5 per room.

Substantial Breakfast Daily 

Includes a Main Entrée, appetizers; Seasonal Sliced Fruit, Honey nut granola & assorted breakfast cereals, Irish Oatmeal raisins, brown sugar, dried fruit parfait cups. Accompaniments: two types of breakfast meats/veggie selection, i.e.,
Applewood-smoked bacon, Turkey Sausage, or Chicken Apple Sausage, black forest ham, or Vegetarian choice grilled tomatoes & asparagus. One type of breakfast potatoes. Multiple types of bread or pastries. Multiple types of juices.

 Plated Lunch on Saturday

Includes Appetizer, Choice of two entrées and dessert.

Transportation

Transportation to and from this event is your responsibility. Ontario International Airport, LAX or John Wayne Airport

Shuttle:  Orange county Airport shuttle 949-313-8626.

When event participants organize and schedule their shuttle ride together, in the same shuttle, there may be a discount.

Uber, Lyft and taxi services may be obtained using your smart phone.

Another option would be to rent a car at the Airport and consider sharing the ride and cost with your fellow event participants, you would need to coordinate this with each other.
