Peace, harmony between mind and body, quietude, clarity and joy characterize living in our center. Change often provokes reactions in us that keep us from these states.
Centering means so many different things to different people. It may mean taking time for oneself and doing the things one loves or changing the self-talk. It may mean meditating, walking or exercising. It may mean deep healing work and opening to the unknown or resting in comfort. For all of us however, centering is a shift in activity or attitude that comes after the awareness that we’re off-center.
The deeper lessons of change come from Butterfly Woman. Through Butterfly Medicine we discover that in centering we come to harness the pure energy of change (even as chaos) and
use it as the energy for our own becoming.
use it as the energy for our own becoming.
The long hours, days, weeks and months spent planning for this Spring Event was so worth the outcome! With the most amazing co-facilitatator by my side, Maria Carmen Fraser, I managed to achieve one of my Acts of Power with a group of incredible people who showed up fully for themselves with open hearts and minds. This event incorporated Lynn’s teachings from The Sisterhood of the Shields which facilitated a strong supportive base for the collective sharing of knowledge and wisdom related to grounding and centering amidst changes in us and around us. There were tender moments marked by deep vulnerability, laughter and tears as we each acted as sacred mirrors for one another while the magical land around us provided support. And although words cannot truly capture the magic of connecting with Grandmother Tree, the Sacred Fire or the Water Babies, this experience will live on in my heart connecting me not only with the sacred land but with those with whom I shared this incredible experience. Aho!
